An alumnus of high school wrestling, American lightweight athlete Terrance McKinney earned All-American status and secured a pair of state titles before transitioning to professional mixed martial arts. The "T Wrecks" moniker holder developed his versatile skills at Warrior Camp MMA, acquiring a style that blends powerful striking with submission capabilities. McKinney, who competes utilizing a switch stance, registered a stint with the Legacy Fighting Alliance prior to his 2021 promotional debut, where he famously set a division record for the swiftest finish by knocking out Matt Frevola.

Entering his next bout at UFC 329, the American fighter holds a professional record of five wins and three losses. His previous five appearances inside the Octagon yielded three victories and two defeats. Following a knockout loss to Esteban Ribovics, McKinney rebounded with a stoppage of Damir Hadžović and a guillotine choke submission over Viacheslav Borshchev.
