Canadian lightweight competitor Kyle Prepolec trains out of the Maximum Training Centre. The switch-stance fighter, known for combining striking and grappling, started his professional mixed martial arts career in 2008. Before joining the UFC, he captured the SMMA lightweight title and previously claimed championship belts in both the BTC and TXC organizations.

Ahead of UFC 300, Prepolec carries a 14-7-0 professional record. After dropping a decision to Austin Hubbard, he secured a split-decision victory over Michael Dufort before losing to Shane Campbell. He recovered with consecutive stoppage wins, knocking out Marco Antonio Elpidio and finishing Josh Henry with a head kick and punches.
