Hailing from Guarujá, Brazil, lightweight competitor Charles "do Bronxs" Oliveira trains at the Chute Boxe Academy with an orthodox stance. The fourth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt began his mixed martial arts journey in 2007 and ultimately captured the UFC lightweight championship. He is highly regarded for his grappling, having secured more submission wins than any other fighter in UFC history.
Oliveira carries a professional record of 29-9-0 (1 NC) into UFC 300. His recent performances include high-profile stoppages of Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje.
