KAI ASAKURA

Representing Japan, Kai Asakura developed his athletic foundation through early training in boxing, sumo, and karate. Operating out of the Japan Top Team, the orthodox fighter gained prominence as a two-time Rizin Bantamweight Champion. He is defined by an aggressive striking approach that has allowed him to finish most of his professional opponents by way of knockout. His most notable career highlight includes a significant victory against former titleholder Kyoji Horiguchi.

Entering this period with a professional record of 21-4, Asakura shows momentum from recent performances. He holds back-to-back victories by body knee strikes against Juan Archuleta and Yuki Motoya. Before these successes, he experienced a unanimous decision loss to Hiromasa Ougikubo following a string of consecutive decision wins over Kenta Takizawa and Alan Yamaniha.
