DRICUS DU PLESSIS

Representing South Africa, Dricus du Plessis competes in the middleweight division out of the Team CIT MMA gym. The orthodox fighter previously secured championships across two weight classes in the Extreme Fighting Championship and reigned as a welterweight titleholder in KSW. After transitioning from a background in amateur kickboxing, he established himself in the Octagon through his high-pressure striking and submission wrestling. His resume includes significant victories over elite opponents such as Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, and Darren Till.

Entering his current position, the South African holds an overall professional record of 14-2-0. His momentum remains strong following a string of five consecutive victories. These include a recent split decision win against Sean Strickland in January 2024, as well as stoppage triumphs over Whittaker, Brunson, and Till. He also earned a unanimous decision victory against Brad Tavares in mid-2022.
