Hailing from Moldova, orthodox heavyweight competitor Sergei Spivak prepared for his fights at the Tiger Muay Thai gym. Before his UFC career, he competed in various organizations. Known for his grappling proficiency and ground game alongside his striking skills, the Moldovan athlete established himself as a formidable contender in the division.
Heading into the October 14, 2023 event, Spivak held a 6-2-0 record. His five prior bouts started with a guillotine choke submission win over Mason Jones, followed by a knockout loss to Walt Harris. He rebounded with consecutive victories, stopping Marcin Tybura with punches and defeating Aleksandar Rakic by unanimous decision. Most recently, however, he suffered a rear-naked choke submission defeat against Tom Aspinall.
