ANTHONY SMITH

Born in 1988, American light heavyweight fighter Anthony Smith competes in the UFC using an orthodox stance. Training out of the Factory X camp, Smith is recognized for both his grappling and striking abilities, alongside his finishing prowess. Over his career, he has earned multiple title opportunities and secured victories against former champions and top contenders.

Prior to the October 14, 2023 event, Smith held a 3-5-0 record. In March 2022, he defeated Johnny Walker by TKO with a knee and punches, followed by a unanimous decision loss to Alexander Rakic. He then secured a rear-naked choke submission victory over Ryan Spann in September 2022. Most recently, Smith suffered a split decision loss to Magomed Ankalaev in February 2023 and a rear-naked choke submission defeat to Jamahal Hill in August 2023.
