AMIR ALBAZI

Amir Albazi is a flyweight fighter representing Iraq who trains with the Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts gym. His career started on the European circuit, where he earned championship titles for the UCMMA and FSC promotions. After building a foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he signed with the UFC in 2020. Since joining the organization, he has recorded significant wins against fighters like Zhalgas Zhumagulov, Malcolm Gordon, Kai Kara-France, and Francisco Figueiredo.

Currently boasting a 17-1-0 professional record, Albazi is riding a five-fight win streak. His most recent triumph was a split decision victory over Kai Kara-France in the summer of 2023. His winning run also features a knockout of Alessandro Costa and a rear-naked choke victory against Francisco Figueiredo. Rounding out his recent successes are a unanimous decision win versus Zhalgas Zhumagulov and a first-round triangle choke submission of Malcolm Gordon.
