Representing China, Liu Ce transitioned into mixed martial arts after a decorated career in Sanda and kickboxing, where he secured a K-1 cruiserweight title and tournament victory. He currently competes in the light heavyweight division. Based at the Tangshan Buntai Riding Fight Club, he continues his development under the guidance of trainer Wei Rui. The orthodox fighter relies on a striking-heavy approach refined through his extensive combat sports background.

Entering this contest with a professional record of 3-1, Liu maintains momentum from his most recent performance. In May 2026, he defeated Igor Barabanov via technical knockout using a combination of punches and leg kicks. This victory followed a setback in October 2024 against Ivan Gnizditskiy. Earlier in his career, he secured back-to-back knockout victories over Batjargal Munkh-Erdene and Yu Haiming.
