This Mexican flyweight has become a standout figure in the UFC and remains the first fighter from his nation to secure a championship title, having earned the belt twice. He hones his craft at Fortis MMA, where he emphasizes aggressive pressure, sharp boxing, and high-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu. His resume includes significant victories over top-tier opponents like Kai Kara-France, Deiveson Figueiredo, and Brandon Royval, establishing his place among the division's best.
Carrying a career record of 24-10-2, the veteran steps into this fight fresh off a September 12, 2026, split-decision win against Joseph Morales. This performance snapped a turbulent streak that featured a TKO loss to Tatsuro Taira and a unanimous decision defeat to Lone'er Kavanagh. Before that slide, he had built momentum by earning consecutive unanimous decision triumphs over Amir Albazi and Steve Erceg.
