AMIR ALBAZI

Representing Iraq, Amir Albazi competes in the flyweight division under the guidance of Great Britain Top Team. The Baghdad native, who later relocated to the United Kingdom, built his foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and earned championships within UCMMA and FightStar before joining the global stage. Since 2020, he has accumulated significant victories, including a split decision result against Kai Kara-France and a knockout finish of Alessandro Costa. His background also includes a degree in sports science from the University of Roehampton.

Entering the event with a professional ledger of 17-3-0, Albazi faces a challenging stretch in his recent performance history. He dropped his most recent appearance against Kyoji Horiguchi in February 2026 and suffered a previous defeat to Brandon Moreno in November 2024. Prior to these losses, he maintained a successful run featuring his victory over Kara-France, a knockout win against Alessandro Costa, and a rear-naked choke submission of Francisco Figueiredo.
