Following a stoppage defeat against Sean O'Malley in 2023, the orthodox fighter moved up to compete in the featherweight division.
He enters this contest holding a professional record of 26-5-0. His recent performances include a unanimous decision victory over Youssef Zalal in April 2026 and a win against Brian Ortega via the same method in August 2025. Before those bouts, he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Movsar Evloev. Earlier in 2024, he secured a decision win over Calvin Kattar.
