Hailing from Vienna, the Austrian athlete transitioned to professional mixed martial arts in 2011 following an extensive background in boxing and kickboxing. Throughout his career, he competed primarily as a light heavyweight before transitioning to the heavyweight weight class in 2026. Representing both Gym 23 and American Top Team, the orthodox fighter previously secured significant Octagon triumphs against Anthony Smith, Thiago Santos, and Jimi Manuwa, the last of whom he defeated in a performance that garnered an additional bonus.
Entering this September event with an overall professional record of 15-6-0, the heavyweight looks to build upon his most recent result. He earned a unanimous decision victory over Marcin Tybura in August 2026, which followed a stretch featuring losses to Azamat Murzakanov, Magomed Ankalaev, Jiří Procházka, and Jan Błachowicz.
