American welterweight Daniel Rodriguez, a southpaw fighter, prepares out of Las Vegas, Nevada, splitting his training between Syndicate MMA and the BMF Ranch. "D-Rod" launched his professional mixed martial arts career in 2015 following a perfect 7-0 amateur record. Before signing with the UFC, he competed in promotions like Combate Americas and Bellator. Throughout his tenure in the Octagon, Rodriguez has secured significant wins over notable opponents, including Kevin Lee and Mike Perry.

Entering UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres with a 4-3-0 record, Rodriguez is on a three-fight winning streak. After suffering consecutive losses to Ian Machado Garry and Kelvin Gastelum, he rebounded with a split decision victory over Alex Morono. Rodriguez followed this with a TKO win against Santiago Ponzinibbio and most recently earned a unanimous decision victory over Kevin Holland.
