BEKZAT ALMAKHAN

Hailing from Akzhar, Kazakhstan, bantamweight competitor Bekzat Almakhan began his professional mixed martial arts journey in 2018. The orthodox fighter, who trains out of Almaty with DDV Team 777, built his foundation in boxing and karate. He became a prominent figure in his home country's MMA scene and eventually joined the UFC, earning a notable knockout victory over Brad Katona in 2025.

Heading into UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres, Almakhan holds a 7-1-0 record. In his recent outings, he secured a head-kick knockout against Mateus Rodrigues Gloria and a technical knockout over Yan Ferraz in 2023. After a unanimous decision loss to Umar Nurmagomedov in early 2024, Almakhan stopped Brad Katona with punches in May 2025. He most recently fell to Aleksandre Topuria by unanimous decision in November 2025.
