American flyweight Cody "Custom Made" Durden trains out of American Top Team. Having a background in wrestling, the southpaw began his mixed martial arts training around the age of twenty-one. He originally competed in the bantamweight class before moving to the UFC's flyweight division, where he has secured notable unanimous decision victories.

Durden enters his matchup at UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres with an overall record of 11-7-1. He recently broke a four-fight skid, during which he dropped consecutive matches to Joshua Van, Jose Ochoa, Allan Nascimento, and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel.
