Born in Inner Mongolia, China, this bantamweight athlete started his professional combat sports journey in 2013. He gained experience competing within the Road FC organization before transitioning to the UFC in 2019. His early promotional tenure included a Fight of the Night performance during his initial octagon appearance. Currently, he refines his skills as a freestyle wrestler while training at the Fight Ready facility.

He enters this competition carrying a career record of 17-10-2. His performance leading up to this matchup has been inconsistent across his last five outings. After securing a technical knockout victory over Kevin Croom and a decision win against Chad Anheliger, he dropped a unanimous decision to Chris Gutiérrez. He rebounded by defeating Kleydson Rodrigues by points but most recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Da'Mon Blackshear in April 2025.
