ZHANG WEILI

Hailing from China, orthodox strawweight Zhang "Magnum" Weili is known for her aggressive style. Training out of Black Tiger Fight Club and Fight Ready, she became the premier Chinese competitor to earn UFC gold, ultimately capturing the strawweight championship twice. Prior to this, she secured the Kunlun Fight strawweight title. Her career includes prominent victories over both Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Carla Esparza.

Zhang approaches UFC 302 carrying a 14-7-0 professional record. After dropping a split decision to Rose Namajunas in November 2021, she rebounded with four consecutive victories. This streak includes a spinning backfist knockout of Joanna Jędrzejczyk, a rear-naked choke submission against Carla Esparza, and back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Amanda Lemos and Yan Xiaonan.
