Hailing from Panama, Joselyne Edwards began her combat sports journey with boxing as a teenager before transitioning to mixed martial arts. The orthodox bantamweight honed her grapping and striking skills to capture championship titles in promotions like UCC and King of the Cage. Training out of the Kings MMA camp, she established herself in the UFC through a versatile skill set that includes a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Heading into her June 2023 matchup, Edwards carried a professional record of 13 wins and 5 losses. Her prior five-fight stretch began with a unanimous decision defeat to Jessica-Rose Clark, which she answered with three consecutive victories over Ramona Pascual, Ji Yeon Kim, and Lucie Pudilová. However, her momentum was halted in her most recent outing, where she dropped a unanimous decision to Nora Cornolle.
