Representing the United States, welterweight competitor Alexander Poppeck trains out of the American Top Team camp. Fighting from an orthodox stance, he is known for a well-rounded skillset and an ability to finish fights using both strikes and submissions. Over his career, the highly-ranked contender has earned notable victories against some of the division's top competitors.
Heading into UFC 302 with a 7-3-0 record, Poppeck has won four of his last five matches. In 2023, he secured consecutive unanimous decision wins over Rafael dos Anjos and Kevin Holland, before knocking out Neil Magny. Although he dropped a split decision to Michael Chiesa in January 2024, Poppeck rebounded in April with a rear-naked choke submission victory against Ben Askren.
