Kayla Harrison is an American mixed martial artist who sharpened her craft at American Top Team. A former two-time Olympic judo gold medalist, she began her professional journey in 2018. Her career is defined by success in the PFL lightweight tournament, where she captured two separate titles. She eventually transitioned to the featherweight division after previously competing as a lightweight. Harrison relies on a high-level grappling base that has allowed her to finish multiple opponents through various submission techniques throughout her tenure in the sport.
Heading into her appearance at UFC 330, the American holds a career record of 15-1-0. Her most recent cage outing resulted in a unanimous decision loss to Larissa Pacheco. Prior to that setback, she strung together a sequence of victories, including a submission of Martina Jindrová, a knockout of Kaitlin Young, a decision win over Marina Mokhnatkina, and an armbar finish against Taylor Guardado.
