MACKENZIE DERN

Born in the United States with Brazilian roots, Mackenzie Dern developed an elite grappling foundation as a world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. She attained championship status across various ADCC and IBJJF competitions before entering the professional mixed martial arts circuit. Following an undefeated start in promotions like Invicta FC and LFA, she joined the UFC strawweight division in 2018. During her time with the organization, she has emerged as a high-level contender by utilizing her superior submission skills and earning several performance bonuses.

Dern arrives at this contest with a professional resume of thirteen wins and three defeats. Her last five outings include a submission victory over Nina Nunes and a split decision win against Tecia Torres. She also experienced a unanimous decision loss to Marina Rodriguez, followed by a majority decision setback versus Yan Xiaonan. Most recently, she defeated Angela Hill via unanimous decision in May 2023. She represents the RVCA training camp as she prepares for this upcoming event.
