JAVIER REYES

Javier Reyes is a Mexican-American professional who serves as an economist and administrator in higher education. Before transitioning toward his current role, he held academic leadership positions including dean at West Virginia University as well as provost and interim chancellor at the University of Illinois Chicago. He functions as the chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Throughout his professional career in academia, he has not trained or competed as a professional mixed martial arts athlete.
