Hailing from Kazakhstan, orthodox flyweight Asu Almabayev trains with the DAR Pro Team. The fighter, nicknamed "Zulfikar," started wrestling at five years old before expanding his skills to include Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, and karate in Almaty. Prior to signing with the UFC, he earned the Interim M-1 Global Flyweight Championship.
