YAN XIAONAN

Hailing from China, Yan Xiaonan became the inaugural female athlete from her nation to join the UFC roster. She brings a foundational background in Sanda to the women’s strawweight weight class. Throughout her professional journey that launched in 2009, she has maintained training associations with China Top Team and Team Alpha Male. Her record includes significant victories over notable opponents such as Mackenzie Dern, Jéssica Andrade, and Claudia Gadelha.

Heading into UFC Freedom 250, Yan carries a career mark of 19-5 with one no-contest result. Her recent activity includes a unanimous decision setback against Virna Jandiroba in April 2025. Before that encounter, she earned a unanimous decision victory over Tabatha Ricci in late 2024. Her previous three appearances consisted of a loss to Zhang Weili, a knockout win against Jéssica Andrade, and a majority decision triumph versus Mackenzie Dern.
