Brazilian featherweight Diego Lopes fights out of Lobo Gym MMA and Brazilian Warriors. An orthodox competitor who began his professional mixed martial arts career in 2012, Lopes is a second-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt known for his strong grappling abilities. Before joining the UFC and earning multiple performance bonuses, he established himself as the featherweight champion in the LUX Fight League.
Entering UFC Freedom 250 with a 27-8-0 record, Lopes has experienced mixed results in his recent outings. He secured back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Dan Ige and Brian Ortega in 2024, but dropped a unanimous decision to Alexander Volkanovski in April 2025. He rebounded that September, stopping Jean Silva with a spinning back elbow and punches for a TKO, before losing another unanimous decision to Volkanovski in February 2026.
