The Brazilian-American fighter established his reputation as a premier Muay Thai specialist within the cage, utilizing high-level striking and powerful kicks to navigate the featherweight and lightweight classes. Throughout a long tenure with the promotion, he garnered multiple Fight of the Night honors and made history as the initial athlete to secure a victory via spinning wheel kick. He refined his craft at several elite training facilities, including American Top Team.

Heading into UFC Freedom 250, he maintains an overall professional record of 24-14-0. His recent performances have been difficult, as he enters this contest following three consecutive setbacks.
