Representing the United States, Curtis Blaydes honed his skills at Elevation Fight Team while competing in the heavyweight division. The orthodox fighter utilized his collegiate wrestling background to develop a formidable ground-and-pound approach. Throughout his tenure within the promotion, he earned several Performance of the Night honors and maintained status as a high-ranking contender. His professional journey began in 2014, following a collegiate wrestling tenure at Harper College. Over his career, he secured significant victories against established opponents such as Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem.

Entering UFC Freedom 250, Blaydes holds an overall record of 19-6-0 with one no-contest. His recent activity features a unanimous decision defeat to Josh Hokit and a split decision win over Rizvan Kuniev. Prior to those bouts, he suffered a knockout loss against Tom Aspinall, followed by a knockout victory over Jailton Almeida.
