American fighter Jamahal "Sweet Dreams" Hill competes in the UFC’s light heavyweight division, representing the Black Lion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu camp. Born in Chicago, the knockout artist made history as the very first graduate of Dana White's Contender Series to capture a promotional championship. His crowning achievement came in January 2023, when he secured the vacant light heavyweight title by defeating veteran Glover Teixeira.

Prior to his appearance at UFC Fight Night: du Plessis vs. Usman, Hill accumulated a professional record of six wins, four losses, and one no-contest. After his title victory against Teixeira, which followed a stoppage win over Thiago Santos, Hill entered a challenging period. He lost three consecutive bouts, suffering knockout and technical knockout defeats to Alex Pereira and Jiří Procházka, followed by a decision loss to Khalil Rountree Jr. in his most recent outing.
