ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ

Alexander Hernandez, a professional mixed martial artist representing the United States, began his journey in the UFC in 2018. Entering the promotion with eight professional victories, he immediately garnered attention by defeating Beneil Dariush via knockout in his first appearance. Throughout his tenure, he has balanced his skills between grappling and striking while rotating between the lightweight and featherweight classes. Training out of the Factory X camp, he has earned multiple performance-related bonuses while navigating various challenges in both weight divisions.

Heading into his matchup at UFC Fight Night: du Plessis vs. Usman, Hernandez holds an overall professional record of 18-9-0. His recent run includes a unanimous decision defeat against Rafa Garcia in April 2026. Prior to that setback, he enjoyed a streak of three consecutive victories, starting with a split decision win over Austin Hubbard. He subsequently secured back-to-back technical knockout finishes against Kurt Holobaugh, Chase Hooper, and Carlos Diego Ferreira between early 2025 and late 2025.
