ADRIAN YAÑEZ

Hailing from Houston, Texas, American bantamweight Adrian Yañez trains out of the Metro Fight Club. Fighting from an orthodox stance, the striker began practicing martial arts at a young age. Prior to signing with the UFC, he built an excellent record and demonstrated resilience by recovering from early career hurdles. Since joining the organization, his stand-up skills have earned him multiple Performance of the Night awards.

Yañez heads into UFC Fight Night: du Plessis vs. Usman carrying a 1-3-1 record. His recent run began with back-to-back TKO losses to Rob Font and Jonathan Martinez in 2023. He briefly rebounded in May 2024 with a TKO victory over Vinicius Salvador, but then dropped a split decision to Daniel Marcos that December. Most recently, in March 2026, Yañez fought Ricky Simón to a majority draw.
