Denise Pacheco Gomes represents Brazil as a strawweight athlete within the UFC roster. Developing her craft at the Paraná Vale Tudo academy, she initially competed on the regional circuit starting in 2017. Her path to the major leagues was secured via the Dana White's Contender Series during 2022. Throughout her time in the promotion, she has built a reputation for high-pressure striking exchanges and has secured several Performance of the Night honors for her efforts.

Entering the event with an overall professional standing of 12 victories against three defeats, she arrives on a four-fight winning streak. Her recent success includes unanimous decision victories over Tecia Pennington and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
