Jan Błachowicz is a Polish light heavyweight who trains at Berkut WCA Fight Team. After achieving success in Muay Thai, he transitioned to mixed martial arts in 2007. He won the KSW light heavyweight title before joining the UFC, where he eventually captured the light heavyweight championship, becoming the first Polish male to hold a UFC title.
Before UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez, Błachowicz holds a 4-3-2 record. His recent fights include a submission loss to Glover Teixeira and a TKO victory over Aleksandar Rakić. Since then, he fought Magomed Ankalaev to a split draw, lost a split decision to Alex Pereira, and most recently dropped a unanimous decision against Carlos Ulberg.
