Hailing from Vienna, Austrian light heavyweight Aleksandar "Rocket" Rakić has competed professionally since 2011. The orthodox fighter, who trains out of American Top Team, is recognized for his powerful striking skills and knockout ability. Over his career in the weight class, Rakić has earned key wins over Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos.
Entering UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez with a 14-6-0 record, Rakić is on a four-fight losing streak. After defeating Thiago Santos by decision in 2021, he suffered a TKO loss from a knee injury against Jan Błachowicz, followed by a TKO defeat to Jiří Procházka. He then dropped a unanimous decision to Magomed Ankalaev before his most recent TKO loss against Azamat Murzakanov in October 2025.
