ALJAMAIN ANTOINE STERLING

Hailing from Uniondale, New York, American competitor Aljamain Sterling initially took up high school wrestling to avoid gangs before earning NCAA Division III All-American honors twice. Training with the Serra-Longo Fight Team, the orthodox athlete utilizes strong Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills. As a former UFC bantamweight champion, he defended his crown three times and holds notable victories over T.J. Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo.

Sterling enters UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez with a professional record of 14-3-0. His recent form includes a TKO loss to Sean O'Malley, followed by a decision victory against Calvin Kattar. After dropping a decision to Movsar Evloev, he rebounded with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Brian Ortega and Youssef Zalal.
