ALEX PEREIRA

Hailing from São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, Alex Pereira is an orthodox striker who trains with Teixeira MMA & Fitness. Known as "Poatan," the former Glory kickboxing dual-division champion transitioned to MMA in 2015. He built a reputation for immense knockout power in both middleweight and light heavyweight weight classes, securing notable victories over Jiří Procházka and Khalil Rountree Jr.

Entering the August 1, 2026 event, UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez, with a 7-2-0 record, Pereira most recently suffered a technical knockout defeat against Ciryl Gane in June 2026. Prior to that, his recent results included splitting a pair of matches with Magomed Ankalaev, where he won their second meeting via strikes, following earlier knockout victories over Rountree Jr. and Procházka.
