Born in the Chechen Republic town of Argun, Russian-German middleweight Abusupiyan Magomedov represents UFD Gym. "Abus" began his athletic journey training in wrestling in Dagestan before relocating to Germany, where he added kickboxing to his skill set. After competing in regional promotions and earning prominent victories within the Professional Fighters League, he transitioned to the UFC.

Entering UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez with a record of 30-7-0, Magomedov has won four of his last five bouts. In 2024, he secured a unanimous decision against Warlley Alves and submitted Brunno Ferreira. After defeating Michel Pereira via decision in early 2025, he suffered a submission loss to Joe Pyfer. Most recently, in June 2026, he bounced back with a guillotine choke submission victory over Michał Oleksiejczuk.
