KYOJI HORIGUCHI

Originally from Takasaki, Gunma, Japan, flyweight competitor Kyoji Horiguchi honed his skills under Norifumi Yamamoto's guidance at Krazy Bee prior to joining American Top Team. The orthodox striker also possesses well-rounded grappling abilities. His notable achievements include becoming the first-ever flyweight champion in the Rizin Fighting Federation, alongside earning their bantamweight title on two separate occasions.

Entering his matchup at UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira with a 9-5 record and one no contest, Horiguchi has secured four consecutive victories. After an accidental eye poke caused a no contest against Makoto Takahashi, Horiguchi won their rematch using a rear-naked choke. He then earned decision victories over Sergio Pettis and Nkazimulo Zulu, and most recently defeated Tagir Ulanbekov via technical submission in November 2025.
