Russian heavyweight Rizvan Kuniev started his professional mixed martial arts career in 2011. Born in Dagestan and training out of Makhachkala with the Gorets FT camp, the orthodox competitor fought in promotions such as Eagle FC prior to signing with the UFC. Over his career, he has earned multiple victories by knockout and submission.
Kuniev approaches UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira holding a professional record of 12 wins, three losses, one draw, and one no contest. His recent performances include stoppage victories over Edivan Mineiro Santos via punches and Anthony Hamilton by guillotine choke. Following an overturned no contest against Renan Ferreira, Kuniev defeated Hugo Cunha using a knee to the body and punches, but most recently dropped a split decision to Curtis Blaydes in June 2025.
