YAN XIAONAN

Representing China, Yan Xiaonan pioneered the path for her nation’s female athletes as the first woman from her country to join the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Competing within the strawweight weight class, she utilizes a primary background in Sanda to drive her striking-focused approach. Throughout her professional journey that began in 2009, she has trained alongside groups like Team Alpha Male, Extreme Sanda, and China Top Team. Her resume features high-profile triumphs over competitors such as Cláudia Gadelha, Mackenzie Dern, and Jéssica Andrade.

Entering this upcoming contest, Yan holds a career mark of 19 victories, 6 defeats, and a single no-contest. Her most recent stretch includes a knockout setback against Denise Gomes during August 2026. Prior to that, she dropped a unanimous decision to Virna Jandiroba in April 2025. This follows a victory over Tabatha Ricci late in 2024, which occurred after she fell short against Zhang Weili earlier that same year. Her 2023 campaign was highlighted by a knockout performance against Jéssica Andrade.
