After finding success as a wrestler in high school, he pursued mixed martial arts during his early twenties and secured the Valor Fighting Challenge bantamweight title. Throughout his professional career, which includes experience in boxing and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has tallied notable victories against opponents such as Jake Hadley and Matt Schnell.
He enters this contest with an overall professional record of 18-11-1. His recent stretch of activity includes a submission loss to Alessandro Costa and a unanimous decision win over Jafel Filho. Prior to those bouts, he suffered three consecutive setbacks against Nyamjargal Tumendemberel, Allan Nascimento, and Jose Ochoa.
