The American flyweight Alex Perez began his professional journey in 2011 after wrestling at West Hills College Lemoore. He climbed the ranks by capturing the Tachi Palace Fights title before securing his promotion opportunity through the Contender Series. Now training with Team Oyama, he has remained a consistent competitor in the division, once fighting for the ultimate championship in 2020 and frequently earning additional performance honors during his tenure.
Perez enters this bout with an overall professional tally of twenty-six victories, eleven defeats, and one no contest. His recent performance history shows a difficult stretch leading up to this matchup. He suffered a unanimous decision loss to Su Mudaerji in August 2026, which followed a no contest against the same opponent. Prior to those outings, he stopped Charles Johnson via strikes in early 2026, falling short in matches against Asu Almabayev and Tatsuro Taira before that win.
