ALEX PEREZ

Hailing from the United States, Alex Perez represents Team Oyama in the flyweight division. After securing a promotional contract via the 2017 Contender Series, he established himself as a versatile competitor blending aggressive striking with a wrestling-focused grappling base. Throughout his tenure, he has navigated a challenging path against the division’s top-tier talent, which included a high-stakes opportunity to compete for the UFC flyweight championship.

Entering UFC 332, the orthodox fighter holds a professional career tally of 22 wins and 8 losses. His recent activity shows a mixed sequence of results. He suffered a submission defeat against Tagir Ulanbekov in mid-2024, which followed a knockout victory over Matheus Nicolau earlier that year. Prior to that win, he dropped consecutive decisions and submissions to Muhammad Mokaev, Alexandre Pantoja, and Deiveson Figueiredo.
