ALEX PEREIRA

Hailing from Brazil, Alex Pereira developed a striking-heavy approach rooted in his background as a former two-division professional kickboxing champion. Operating out of the Teixeira MMA & Fitness gym, he established himself in the UFC as a major force by becoming a two-time Light Heavyweight Champion and a former Middleweight titleholder. This accomplishment made him the ninth individual to secure gold across two separate weight classes. His resume features high-profile triumphs against several elite opponents, including Jan Blachowicz, Israel Adesanya, and Jamahal Hill.

Entering the matchup at UFC 332 with a professional ledger of 13-4-0, the orthodox fighter arrives following a mixed recent run. He suffered a knockout loss to Ciryl Gane in June 2026, which followed a stoppage victory over Magomed Ankalaev last October. Prior to that, he experienced a unanimous decision setback against Ankalaev. His earlier campaign included back-to-back stoppage wins over Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jiri Prochazka.
