JAKE MATTHEWS

Hailing from Australia, Jake Matthews emerged as a professional competitor after his appearance on The Ultimate Fighter Nations. Throughout his tenure in the promotion, he has transitioned between competing at lightweight and welterweight. An orthodox fighter who holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has collected various performance-based awards for his efforts inside the cage, including multiple Fight of the Night recognitions. He represents the XLR8 Training Centre as he continues his long-standing career within the organization.

Entering the upcoming event, the Australian carries a professional mark of 19-6-0. His recent performances have been mixed, beginning with a unanimous decision victory over Diego Sanchez followed by a submission defeat against Sean Brady. He subsequently knocked out André Fialho before suffering a unanimous decision loss to Matthew Semelsberger. Most recently, he secured a victory via rear-naked choke against Darrius Flowers in July 2023.
