Representing American Top Team, Grant Dawson competes within the lightweight weight class. The American athlete started his professional mixed martial arts journey in 2014 following a background in scholastic wrestling. After securing a roster spot through the Contender Series, he brought his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt skills to the Octagon. He has established a reputation for utilizing his grappling expertise to force tap-outs while maintaining an unblemished record throughout his tenure with the organization. His list of accomplishments includes significant triumphs over opponents such as Leonardo Santos and Damir Ismagulov.

Heading into his September 2023 contest, Dawson holds an overall professional mark of 20-1-1. His recent stretch includes a unanimous decision victory against Damir Ismagulov. Prior to that, he secured back-to-back rear-naked choke submissions against Mark Madsen and Jared Gordon. Earlier in this span, he fought to a majority draw with Ricky Glenn after knocking out Leonardo Santos.
