Representing Alliance MMA, the American fighter has navigated both the atomweight and strawweight divisions throughout her professional tenure. She earned recognition as the inaugural champion of the Invicta FC atomweight class and participated in the first female contest held by Bellator. Her career includes a stint on The Ultimate Fighter television series and a 2015 opportunity to compete for the UFC strawweight title. As a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she leans heavily upon her grappling skills to secure victories, having previously defeated competitors such as Randa Markos, Naho Sugiyama, and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Entering the event with a career record of 14-7-0, she holds a mixed result history in her most recent appearances. She suffered a submission loss to Tabatha Ricci in March 2023 following a unanimous decision defeat against Emily Ducote. Prior to those setbacks, she achieved consecutive wins against Karolina Kowalkiewicz via armbar and Lupita Godinez by split decision. Her last victory before that sequence was a loss to Danielle Taylor in 2017.
