Hailing from Brazil, Diego Lopes sharpened his skills while training at Lobo Gym MMA. Competing as a featherweight, he established himself as a grappler known for dangerous submissions. His rise through the ranks included capturing the featherweight belt in the LUX Fight League. Following a tenure in various regional organizations and an appearance on Dana White's Contender Series, he officially joined the UFC roster in early 2023.
