ALEX PEREIRA

Alex Pereira is a Brazilian athlete who entered the world of professional mixed martial arts following a successful tenure as a kickboxing champion. Training out of Teixeira MMA & Fitness, the orthodox striker joined the UFC in 2021. He rapidly advanced through the middleweight ranks, ultimately capturing the championship belt by defeating Israel Adesanya in late 2022. After competing in a title rematch, he transitioned to the light heavyweight weight class in 2023.

Heading into this event, the fighter holds an overall professional record of 8-2-0. His previous five appearances include a split decision victory over Jan Blachowicz this past July. Before that triumph, he suffered a knockout loss to Israel Adesanya in April 2023. This followed a string of three consecutive wins consisting of a technical knockout against Adesanya, a knockout versus Sean Strickland, and a unanimous decision against Bruno Silva.
