YAN XIAONAN

Yan Xiaonan became the first female athlete from China to sign with the UFC, where she competes in the strawweight class. Her combat foundation is rooted in Sanda, helping her evolve into a prolific striker who maintains a high volume of attacks. After starting her professional journey in 2008 and spending years honing her skills in her home country, she relocated to California in 2021 to join Team Alpha Male. Throughout her tenure in the organization, she has secured significant triumphs against Cláudia Gadelha, Mackenzie Dern, and Jéssica Andrade.

Entering her appearance at UFC 330, Yan holds a professional record of 13-1 with one no-contest. Her current trajectory features two consecutive victories, beginning with a majority decision win over Dern followed by a knockout of Andrade. Prior to this streak, she suffered back-to-back setbacks against Marina Rodriguez via split decision and Carla Esparza by technical knockout. Her preceding performance was a unanimous decision win against Gadelha.
